Trent Dawson, CPA

Trent Dawson is the Chief Financial Officer with Catalys Pacific. He has over 25 years of experience in the alternative assets industry.

Prior to Catalys Pacific, Trent was Chief Financial Officer of WestRiver Group, a $2B AUM investment firm focused on the global innovation economy, where he led finance, operations, and compliance. Previously he was a Director with Standish Management, a fund administration group, where he led the Seattle office, and VP Finance for Voyager Capital, a Seattle-based venture capital firm.  Earlier in his career, he was part of the fund administration team at Schroders (Bermuda) Limited, building deep expertise in partnership accounting and tax, fund formation, and portfolio valuation for private equity and venture capital funds worldwide.  He began his career with Ernst & Young LLP in Dallas, Texas, auditing and advising technology companies through the IPO process and SEC reporting, and later in Bermuda, focused on alternative investment funds and their management companies.

Trent graduated cum laude with a B.A. in accounting from the University of Texas at Tyler and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 2000.
